FLOOD: Artist Talk + Open Studio with Entangled Roots Press, Sheyam Ghieth, and Rimona Eskayo

Calling all aspiring agitators! Learn more about how to create your own compelling, informative, and disruptive printed media for peoples’ movements!

Join the Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC) and community members for the last Open Studio & Artist Talk of the year, next Wednesday, Dec. 20th. We’ll hear from artist-activists Ali Cat of Entangled Roots Press, Sheyam Ghieth, and Rimona Eskayo about how they came into their collaborative propaganda practices. They’ll offer guidance on how to use words and images (and get printed matter out on the streets!) for the beginner propagandist.

After the artist talk and Q+A, participants will get the chance to learn about using a variety of print mediums and and zine forms to make their own propaganda — by the end of the night, everyone will get the chance to pull a screenprint, use the risograph, and try out some zine folding techniques! Each participant will take home their own hand-printed copy of a new zine, FLOOD, a new propaganda-maker’s resource guide by the featured artists. Free and open to the public. Masks required. Flier design by @sheyamghieth

This Open Studio community event was made possible with generous support from SE Uplift.
